Looking up at Alphonse, you found a mild comfort in his proximity despite his cold armour against your skin. “This is for hurting Y/N!” You heard him shout as soon as you exited. You knew he had to focus on the battle ahead. You wanted to tell him so many things, but you couldn’t. There was clear determination in his eyes, as well as a calm anger that you hadn’t seen before. Letting him do it, you stared at Edward as you distanced from him. “Yeah” Alphonse replied, gently taking you outside wiht him.
“Al, take her out of here” He mumbled, rolling his sleeves up. “Ehem…” Envy loudly cleared his throat. “Do you mind?”Įdward glared at him and stretched his arm out, slightly pushing you and his brother away. “You’re welcome…” He repeated, this time annoyed. “I was being sarcastic, Edward” You punched him in the arm, earning a complaint from him and a gasp from Alphonse. “What took you so long?” “You’re welcome” He proudly replied, puffing his chest out. His golden eyes fell back on you, a big self-satisfied grin plastered on his face. “Yeah…” You rolled your eyes, even if his attention was now focused on Envy. “My hero” “You okay?” Edward asked you, eyeing you warily as he watched Envy with the corner of his eye. Envy didn’t seem to mind that you were now escaping. Your friend helped you walk over to the door where Edward stood. You were feeble and exhausted, still suffering the consequences of Envy’s manipulation. “Y/N!” Alphonse immediately went to you, helping you to your feet.
You were tired and feeble when the door suddenly swung open, revealing a short figure followed by a much bigger one. It troubled you and destroyed any possible intentions to try and escape. You pretended not to be affected, but the things he said and done while having Ed and Al’s faces was… disturbing. That fact didn’t really help.Įnvy’s psychological torture had gotten under your skin, more than you wanted to admit. Until you remembered it wasn’t really him again. “That we’ll see” That twisted smirk seemed out of place in Edward’s face. “Nice try” You huffed, ignoring the racing of your heart. “We might be friends, but we don’t really like each other that much” You tried to remind yourself that it wasn’t actually him. Same height, same expression, same clothes, same everything. In his place was Edward, imitated to perfection. Smirking in amusement, Envy changed before your eyes. “So what are you going to do to me in the meantime?” You challenged him, knowing he surelly planned something evil. “That doesn’t matter” Envy smiled evilly, showing something other than his exasperated demeanor for a change. “Even if he comes, he’ll know it’s a trap” You heaved a sighed. “He might not look it, but Ed is really smart, he’ll be ready” Trying to avoid those thoughrs and the heavy feelings they brought, you shook your head. And anyway, no matter how much he denied it, Ed liked Winry. Even if you had tried to hint your feelings for him, even if you had wanted more. For years and years, you had been just friends. You rolled your eyes, tired of that word. “You’re bait” Envy responded in annoyance. “He’ll come for you” You didn’t like the idea of being turned into a damsel in distress, but had become helpless because of Envy’s regeneration and immortality. It was a trap, and Edward and Alphonse would have to show up to your aid soon and fall on it. Overall all, you hated that you knew the answer already. “What’s the point of keeping me here?” You asked, more impatient and bored than worried or scared. He tiredly crossed his arms over his chest, reluctantly willing to hear you out. “Hey!” You snapped your fingers, sending a powerful wave of water his way.Ĭompletely drenched because of your powers and with a glare of disgust on his eyes, Envy turned to you. At least, he hadn’t hurt you, which meant he needed you alive and unharmed for the moment. You had tried to run for it and leave behind the room you were kept in, but Envy had been quick enough to stop you. You warily eyed the door, frustrated that you were resigned to wait for your rescue. Knows for sure, I’ll change the pronouns to ‘they/them’. Refer envy as a “he” since most character in fma consider envy as aīecause I don’t know if he’s canonically non binary, but if someone she has feelings for Edward, knowing that he likes Winry.
